The HubIS team from Montpellier Supagro and CIRAD visited the Crau plain on January 19th 2021, with guidance from the deputy director of the Domaine du Merle (experimental farm of Montpellier Supagro) and the president of the WUA of Haute-Crau.
The objectives were to identify pilot plots and irrigated schemes, determine the possibilities of instrumentation and monitoring at different scales, and be introduced to local partners.
This visit was also an opportunity for newcomers to discover the region and its agricultural and water management context, although the irrigation season will begin only in March!
