Last activity of the SurfIrriLab in the Crau plain: a design workshop with pilot farmers of the irrigated territory. The aim was to test our tutorial for the design of the WatAr sensor, a low-cost and low-tech water detection sensor for surface irrigation monitoring. Everyone managed to build their own sensor and connect it to a messaging alert system in just over an hour! This first technical day was a success and confirmed the technical and economic accessibility of the innovations developed within the project. The fab lab will host other technical days in the coming months. Stay tuned!
